Digestive Tract and Gallbladder aid

Kolesist™ is our gall bladder formula used for the following purposes:

• Treat indigestion, gas, bloating and cramping associated with eating, especially fatty, rich, foods
• Sluggish bile and gallbladder congestion
• Treat symptoms associated with gall stones, inflamed gallbladder, and (chronic) gall bladder attacks

The ingredients in Koesist have years of traditional use behind them and confirmed by modern clinical studies to be effective for promoting health of the gall bladder.

St. Francis Herb Farm®’s Kolesist has been specially formulated for health problems of the digestive tract and gall bladder. Kolesist helps to stimulate the flow of bile, thereby relieving congestion in the gallbladder. Bile can become supersaturated with cholesterol. Once this happens, gallstones often begin to form, cholesterol being the primary component of gallstones. This combination also serves to counter gallbladder colic, more commonly known as gallbladder attacks, often associated with the passage of gallstones.

This synergistic combination is built around barberry as the principal ingredient. The bile-stimulating (choleretic) functions of barberry and dandelion are supported by the antispasmodic effects of wild yam and peppermint, the demulcent properties of marshmallow, and the antiinflammatory properties of turmeric. These herbs have many positive effects on the gall bladder, overlapping each other in their several actions, working together to relieve gall bladder problems and to improve the digestion, especially of fatty foods.

Combinations to consider: Those suffering from sluggish bowels and constipation (one sign of compromised gallbladder function) should consider Kolesist™ in conjunction withBulkLax® and/or CascaraLax®.  If there is liver inflammation, use in conjunction with Hepato DR®.

Dosage:

Take 1-2 ml (30-60 drops) three to six times daily in a little water after meals or as needed.

Contra-indications and Cautions: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking prescription medications or have been diagnosed with a medical condition. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you intend to use this product for gall stones. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not take if allergic to the Asteraceae or Umbelliferae family of plants. Do not use if you have blockage of the bile ducts, acute gall bladder inflammation or intestinal blockage. Reduce dosage or discontinue use if you experience a hypersensitivity reaction or diarrhoea.
